The Colonial Golf Clubs Of Ceylon

Despite its diminutive size, Sri Lanka has made the best of its natural beauty and beautiful scenery, as well as the limited space, to develop stunning golf courses around the island. This golf trip in Sri Lanka is particularly created for individuals who want to indulge in their passion for the game and discover the country’s four excellent golf courses, which are also ranked among Asia’s best.

Day 01
Arrival / Colombo
Once you arrive on the island, we will pick you up from the airport and transport you to the commercial capital of Sri Lanka, Colombo. You will be able to play golf at the Royal Colombo Golf Club. Since its inception in 1879, the Royal Colombo Golf Club in Sri Lanka has been in the forefront of the Sri Lankan golf scene, receiving the Royal Seal from King George V in 1928. The course is not lengthy by modern standards, at 6560 yards from the championship tees. The first hole at The Royal Colombo Golf Club is a challenging one. A grove of trees guards the right side of the small fairway, and the closer you can keep to these trees, the better your angle to the green. If you go too far left, you'll have to swing your way across the pond to locate the green.
Day 02
Colombo
On the second day you get to relax in Colombo, enjoy good food and shop in the most exotic malls. You can also take a trip around the nearby temples and also visit the Galle Face Beach.
Day 03
Colombo / Kandy / Victoria Golf course and resort
Through Pinnawala, we will then journey on to Kandy, where you will be able to indulge in a city tour of Kandy and visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic. We will end the journey at the Victoria Golf Course and Resort. Continue playing golf at the Victoria Golf Club. Victoria Golf & Country Facility is a 73 Par, 6933-yard championship 18-hole golf resort in Sri Lanka nestled in the misty hills of Digana near the glistening Victoria Reservoir. This 517-acre setting was developed by Donald Steele & Co. in 1997 and is listed by Golf Digest as one of the "100 Most Beautiful Golf Courses in the World." A very calming backdrop for a nice round of golf is provided by dramatic and awe-inspiring panoramas embellished with flowering shrubs and tree-lined fairways.
Day 04
Kandy / Nuwara Eliya
We will then journey up the beautiful misty hills of Nuwara Eliya for our next golf hotspot. Here you can visit the Ramboda Falls, take a city tour of Nuwara Eliya and visit a tea plantation and factory.
Day 05
Nuwara Eliya
The Nuwara Eliya Golf Club, founded in 1889, is one of Asia's and maybe the world's oldest golf clubs. It is an institution steeped in tradition and history, with an atmosphere unrivaled in our nation. The British planters who farmed the area for tea in the Nuwara Eliya district founded it, mostly for their leisure and amusement, and it still caters to some of the country's colonial traditions. This charming mingling of old-world charm with modern trappings lends it a distinct air and is the essence of its allure.
Day 07
Nuwara Eliya / Negombo
From Nuwara Eliya, you will journey to Negombo, a tourist’s dream destination, as you can enjoy the waves of the beach, indulge in amazing delicacies and relax before your departure.
