Day 01
Arrival / Chillaw
From the airport, you will travel towards the picturesque town of Chilaw. From thee, you will be able to visit the Anawilundawa National Park, a rare cocktails of amazing fauna, freshwater reservoirs and mangrove forests. This is a paradise especially for birdwatchers.
Day 02
Wilpattu, North West Coastal
From Chilaw we will travel to the WIlpattu national park. If need to explore the natural beauty of wildlife, wilpatthu is an ideal national park which you are able to visit. Wilpattu includes the Little egret, the Yellow Bittern, the Spoonbill, the Purple Coot, ruffs, the Indian stone curlew, and even the Ceylon lorikeet. The peacock might make the dry plains of the park its dance floor as a drizzle gently showers the wilderness.
Day 03 & 04
Bobebilla, Kandy
On Day 03 and 04 we will be sanctioned at Kandy. After breakfast, Proceed to Kandy. Then visit Temple tooth Relic of Kandy. An Evening nature trail is organized for you in UdawattaKele Sanctuary. Further, you can visit Bobebilla national park to see more of your favourite animals. You can hike up the Ella Knuckles Mountain Range as well.
Day 05 & 06
Gal Oya National Park, East Coast
Gal Oya National Park in Sri Lanka was established in 1954 and serves as the main catchment area for Senanayake Samudraya, the largest reservoir in Sri Lanka. Senanayake Samudraya was built under the Gal Oya development project by damming the Gal Oya at Inginiyagala in 1950.
Day 07 & 08
Yala National Park, Yala
It is a huge land area of lagoons and grasslands, making it a perfect and lusty living home for various animal species. The Yala Safari takes you closer to all this glory. Known as the world’s leopard kingdom, Yala is also the home of many other captivating mammals. Yala National Park Safari is a perfect wildlife experience in all terms; 215 bird species, 44 mammal species, 47 reptile species, 18 amphibian species, and 21 fish species live in Yala. All these facts and figures are remarkable in any wildlife safari standards. The elephant herd of Yala may contain up to 350 individuals; again, it is also one of the highest recorded elephants in one place. About 25 individual leopards wander in block one.
Day 09 & 10
Tangalle, South Coast
You can visit Tangalle next, where there are many turtle hatcheries you can visit and understadn the turtle conservation project in Sri Lanka.
Day 11
Sinharaja ,Kitulgala
Sinharaja rain forest trek is easily tops the best rainforest treks in Sri Lanka. The forest reserve is also the last remaining primary lowland rainforest in the island nation. The term Sinharaja is a closed compound word with the meaning “Lion king”. Perhaps, it was the last hideout of the now extinct Sri Lankan lion (Panthera leosinhaleyus). In the present “lion-less” situation, Sinharaja rainforest is unique as an eco-system that is made up of a wide range of tropical flora and fauna. To elaborate, an astounding 64% of all endemic tree species recorded in Sri Lanka occur in this small patch of rainforest. A count of 19 out of 26 birds endemic to Sri Lanka occur here. Endemism among mammals and butterflies is greater than 50%.
Day 12, 13 & 14
Ahangama, South Coast
The last leg of your trip is Ahangama in the south coast. You can relax, spend time on the beach, indulge in some water sports before your departure here.
